33 villages; 300 shirts
A large population of the people in our country lacks basic
necessities like food, clothing, shelter, etc. With the economic crisis from the COVID pandemic,
many people from rural areas found it difficult to afford proper clothing. We distributed shirts
to 300 people across the district of Beed, Maharashtra.
33 villages; 3500 pairs of shoes
For us, it might be just a pair, but for someone, it’s a gift
beyond comparison. The COVID 19 pandemic catalyzed the growth of the economic gap between the
rich and the poor. Numerous underprivileged sections of society were deprived of basic
necessities like shoes to walk in. Our volunteers collected responses from the needy youth of
rural Maharashtra and each response was carefully evaluated to identify youth who could not
afford to procure shoes, especially those aiming for police services, the army, or sports. Also,
people who could not afford to buy shoes were targeted.
To inform people from the rural areas about government schemes, we conduct surveys to understand their needs and requirements. Based on the findings, we plan a comprehensive guide to spread awareness about government schemes. Our survey was started in the Beed district in Maharashtra. With a focus on three blocks- Ashti, Patoda, and Shirur Kasar, our volunteers collected data by going door-to-door.
